Shoe~Footprint Analysis

Shoe/Footprint analysis is analyzing a shoe/footprint. You can analyze a shoe by the design/patterns on the soul of the shoe there can be many types of designs on a shoe print eg. circles, lines, or both. Forensic Scientists can also figure out what shoe they are by the different arches, the length or width of the shoe/foot, the shape, and if it is worn.

If you were a forensic scientist you would be looking at all the different types of evidence explained in the paragraph before, you would look at the size- because some sizes can be different, you would look at the arch and if the shoe has been worn in then you can compare between the two or more different shoes.

Recording footprints is simple. You can use a mold to have the shape of the shoe from the ground then the Forensic Scientist washes off the excess dirt from the mold. They do this so you can analyze and find out who's footprint is who's; this can be used as evidence to figure out who committed the crime.

What would you be looking for to help you decide who's shoe is which?

- If you had two different shoes with two different people that had different heights, obviously there would be different shoe sizes and you could quickly figure it out by that, and from the first paragraph, I explain the different ways of analysis for shoes.
